PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) held a standby roll call for Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 as a demonstration of the company's readiness to maintain reliable electricity supply amidst increasing loads and public mobility. The roll call was attended by the entire Board of Directors of PLN IP Services and all work units across its operational areas.

PLN IP Services manages 45 fully managed power plants that serve as reliable energy providers for the local electricity system, particularly in islands and remote areas. These plants are crucial in maintaining the continuity of electricity supply in isolated systems, which require operational flexibility and rapid response to dynamic system conditions.

The total installed capacity of the power plants managed by PLN IP Services reaches 1,141.26 MW. The power plant portfolio is dominated by gas-fired power plants (PLTMG) and diesel-powered plants (PLTD), which offer high operational flexibility, enabling them to dynamically adjust to system load requirements. In addition, PLN IP Services also manages coal-fired power plants (PLTU), micro-hydroelectric power plants (PLTMH), and hybrid solar power plants (PLTS), as well as various other power plants and supporting facilities.

Regionally, PLN IP Services' distributed generation management is divided into three main regions.

In Western Indonesia, PLN IP Services operates significant power plants supported by coal-fired power plants (PLTU), gas-fired power plants (PLTMG), and micro-hydroelectric power plants (PLTMMH) as New and Renewable Energy (EBT) generators. This combination serves as the backbone of the regional system, while supporting supply reliability and energy sustainability.

Meanwhile, Central Indonesia boasts the largest number of units, with PLTMG, existing diesel power plants (PLTMD), and leased diesel power plants (PLTMD) playing a crucial role in maintaining electricity supply reliability in the island and non-interconnected systems. In this region, PLN IP Services also manages solar power plants (PLTS) as part of its renewable energy utilization program, combined with existing power plants to improve operational efficiency, reduce emissions, and support the energy transition in the island region.

Eastern Indonesia, meanwhile, is a strategic region with large capacity spread across Maluku and Papua, supported by PLTMG MPPs (Micro-electric Power Plants), peaker power plants, and supporting services to ensure reliable electricity supply in eastern Indonesia.

With a strong focus on system reliability and flexibility, distributed generation systems managed by PLN IP Services continue to serve as the backbone of electricity supply in strategic areas, while simultaneously supporting equitable energy access and the sustainability of the national electricity system.

In his remarks, PLN IP Services President Director, Hari Cahyono, emphasized the company's commitment to ensuring comprehensive preparedness during the Christmas and New Year's Standby period.

"PLN IP Services is committed to maintaining personnel readiness and generating reliability across all managed electricity assets during the Christmas and New Year's Standby period, by prioritizing occupational safety, operational readiness, and a rapid response to any potential anomalies to ensure a secure and reliable electricity supply for the public," Hari said.

Through the Christmas and New Year's Standby Roll Call, PLN IP Services affirmed the operational readiness and solidarity of all company personnel in supporting the reliability of the national electricity supply, so that people can celebrate Christmas and New Year 2026 safely, comfortably, and brightly throughout the country.
