Belitung Becomes More Reliable, PLN IP Services & PLN UIW Babel Collaborate to Deliver 10 MW of Power

In an effort to strengthen the reliability of the electricity system in the Bangka Belitung region, PT PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) officially signed a Cooperation Agreement for the Procurement and Lease of a 10 MW Biodiesel-Fueled Diesel Generator located at the Padang Diesel Power Plant (PLTD) in Belitung.

 

The signing of this cooperation agreement is a strategic step in maintaining the continuity of electricity supply on Belitung Island, which has its own isolated electricity system. This collaboration also demonstrates the synergy between PLN IP Services and PT PLN (Persero) Bangka Belitung Regional Main Unit (PLN UIW Babel) in supporting the PLN Group's mission to provide reliable, efficient, and sustainable electricity throughout Indonesia.

 

The President Director of PLN IP Services, Hari Cahyono, expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in this strategic project. "Today marks our second opportunity to be trusted to support the reliability of the electricity system in Bangka Belitung through the rental of a diesel generator at the Padang Diesel Power Plant (PLTD) in Belitung. Thank you to the PLN Bangka Belitung Regional Main Unit for their collaboration and trust. Previously, we also contributed to the Air Anyir Diesel Power Plant, which is now under completion and ready for faster operation to strengthen the electricity supply in the region," said Hari.

 

Hari added that this rental of the generator is part of PLN IP Services' business line in the interim temporary capacity sector, in addition to other core businesses such as Operation & Maintenance (O&M), Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO), and Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC).

 

"We also continue to develop services in the power quality sector through electrical technology solutions that support the needs of industrial customers. PLN IP Services is ready to continue synergizing and innovating, ensuring the electricity system in Bangka Belitung becomes increasingly reliable and bright," he added.

 

Meanwhile, Ira Savitri, General Manager of PLN UIW Bangka Belitung, stated that this collaboration represents a crucial milestone in maintaining the reliability of electricity supply in the Belitung region.

 

"Alhamdulillah, today is one of the best days for us because PLN IP Services is ready to support the strengthening of the electricity system in Bangka Belitung. Through this collaboration, we are committed to moving quickly to ensure that the additional electricity supply can be immediately operational and strengthen the reliability of the electricity system in the Belitung region," said Ira.

 

"We greatly appreciate the support and collaboration from PLN IP Services, which is always responsive and responsive in supporting operational needs in the field. We hope this synergy will continue and provide significant benefits to the electricity system in remote areas," she added.

 

With the operation of this 10 MW rental generator, PLN IP Services, together with PLN UIW Babel, aims to improve the reliability of the electricity system and the operational efficiency of power plants on Belitung Island. This project is also expected to be part of a joint effort to prepare for the transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy in the future.

PLN IP Services Monitors Power Plant Reliability Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, Ensures Stable Electricity Supply in Ambon

VP of Power Plant Control of Subholding and Subsidiaries of PT PLN (Persero), Mr. Sujana, accompanied by the Engineering Manager of Non-EBT Power Plants, Maknun Amin, conducted a working visit to the power plant location managed by Full Operation & Maintenance (O&M) by PLN IP Services, namely BMPP Nusantara 1 and PLTMG Ambon Peaker.
