PLN IP Services Supports Acceleration of 100 GWp Solar Power Plants for National Energy Security

 

Bali, August 25, 2026 – PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) continues to support PT PLN (Persero) and PLN Indonesia Power in accelerating the development of national renewable energy through the 100 GWp Solar Power Plant Program. This support is part of PLN IP Services' commitment to providing reliable, sustainable energy services capable of supporting the needs of the national electricity system.

 

The acceleration of solar energy development was further demonstrated through the launch and groundbreaking ceremony of the 100 GWp Solar Power Plant Program, attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, accompanied by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, and relevant officials. The presence of this program underscores the government's commitment to expanding the use of solar energy as part of efforts to build a more resilient, independent, and sustainable national energy system.

 

As part of the PLN Group ecosystem, PLN IP Services supports solar energy development through Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC), Operation & Maintenance (O&M), and Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) services for solar power plants. This support includes the construction, operation, maintenance, and reliability improvement of solar power plant facilities to ensure optimal and sustainable operation.

 

These capabilities also support the development of various solar power plant projects within the PLN Group, including floating solar power plants and ground-mounted solar power plants. Through EPC, O&M, and MRO services, PLN IP Services contributes to maintaining the reliability and optimizing the operation of renewable energy plants in various regions of Indonesia.

 

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, emphasized that the 100 GWp Solar Power Plant Program is a strategic step to increase national energy independence and resilience by utilizing domestic renewable energy potential.

 

"The 100 GWp Solar Power Plant (PLTS) program is a major step towards strengthening Indonesia's energy independence and resilience. We want to utilize domestic renewable energy potential to meet national energy needs while reducing dependence on imported energy," said Prabowo.

 

In line with this, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia stated that accelerating the 100 GW Solar Power Plant (PLTS) program is a crucial part of strengthening energy security and encouraging the more widespread use of renewable energy.

 

"Today, we are accelerating the implementation of the 100 GW Solar Power Plant (PLTS) program as part of our efforts to strengthen national energy security and encourage the use of domestic energy sources," Bahlil said.

 

PLN IP Services' involvement in the PLN and PLN Indonesia Power ecosystem through the 100 GWp Solar Power Plant (PLTS) Program is part of the company's contribution to supporting the national energy transformation.
