PLN IP Services' 14th SPKI Encourages Innovation to Deliver More Reliable Energy for Customers

Bandung, August 27, 2026 – In anticipation of National Customer Day, PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) continues to strengthen its commitment to providing reliable energy services through the development of innovations across various business lines. This commitment was demonstrated through the 14th PLN IP Services Corporate Innovation Award (SPKI) Selection for 2026, held in Bandung on August 26–27, 2026, with the theme "Impactful Innovation for Energy Resilience and Sustainable Growth." Thirteen teams of innovators from various work units competed to present innovative solutions to improve the company's reliability, efficiency, asset optimization, and business processes.

The 14th SPKI provided a platform for PLN IP Services employees to develop various ideas born from challenges and needs in the field into value-added innovations. These efforts also serve as part of strengthening the company's culture of innovation to support energy security and sustainable business growth.

This spirit of innovation is closely linked to National Customer Day, as quality customer service is built not only through service interactions but also through the various processes behind them. Generator reliability, maintenance effectiveness, asset optimization, operational efficiency, and the use of technology are all crucial in ensuring the energy services customers receive remain reliable and high-quality.

The 14th SPKI was opened by the HR Director of PLN IP Services, Imam Adi Prihantoro. In his remarks, Imam emphasized that innovation is key to the company's sustainability and needs to be fostered from the company's growth phase.

"We must choose to innovate when the company is growing. Innovation must become part of the work culture so that PLN IP Services can continue to grow and face future changes," said Imam.

Imam also commended the innovators who are able to see various challenges in their work as opportunities to create improvements and solutions that impact the company.

A total of 13 teams then presented their innovative work to a panel of judges. The selection process provided an opportunity for innovators to demonstrate the implementation, benefits, and development potential of each innovation, thereby contributing to a broader company.

The 14th SPKI series was closed by PLN IP Services' Director of Operations, Amir Murtono. He emphasized that innovation must be part of daily business operations, not just present during competitions.

"Resilience must be our passion, while innovation must be our lifeblood. Innovation is not something seasonal, but must be present at all times as part of how we do business," Amir stated.

Amir also encouraged the dissemination and replication of innovations that have proven impact across PLN IP Services' work units as needed, so that their benefits extend beyond the awards ceremony.
