PLN IP Services Launches Flagship Program "Accelerating Sustainable Energy Business"

 

Jakarta, April 27, 2026 – PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) affirmed its major strides in driving sustainable energy transformation by launching its flagship program, "Accelerating Sustainable Energy Business," implemented through two strategic initiatives: the PLN IP Services Academy and the EV Charging Initiative, on Monday (April 27). The launch was held at the PLN Indonesia Power Services Head Office as part of the company's efforts to strengthen human resource competencies, improve the quality of business execution, and support the development of a national clean energy ecosystem.

 

This step is part of PLN IP Services' ongoing transformation to address the challenges of the increasingly dynamic electricity industry, while strengthening the company's role as a strategic entity supporting the operational reliability of power plants and the development of future energy businesses.

 

PLN IP Services President Director, Hari Cahyono, stated that the launch of this flagship is part of the company's commitment to supporting the strategic direction of the PLN Group, particularly PLN Indonesia Power, as well as the national energy transition agenda.

 

"PLN IP Services continues to strengthen its role in supporting the transformation of the energy sector through strategic initiatives that not only improve human resource competency but also encourage sustainable business development. The launch of this flagship marks an important milestone in integrating human resource development, quality execution, and accelerated company growth," said Hari.

 

Furthermore, Hari added that PLN IP Services is also continuing to expand its role globally as part of strengthening the company's business.

 

"As part of strengthening its global business, PLN IP Services is expanding its international collaboration by signing a consortium with a Korean MRO company to prepare for the Major Maintenance Program tender for the USC Java 9 & 10 PLTU. This step is part of our effort to improve the reliability of our power plants to international standards," he explained.

 

In line with the company's 2026 theme, "Enhancing Competence, Strengthening Execution, Accelerating Growth," PLN IP Services continues to strengthen its capabilities through four main business lines: Operation & Maintenance (O&M), Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO), Energy Supply & Inter-Temporary Rental Services, and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC).

 

Through the PLN IP Services Academy, the company has established a structured and sustainable talent development system, from recruitment and onboarding to leadership development and advanced skills. This program focuses not only on improving technical and managerial competencies but also on character development and readiness to face the dynamics of the energy industry, including new, renewable energy, and digitalization.

 

As a concrete implementation, PLN IP Services offers various strategic training programs, such as simulator-based operator training for coal-fired power plants (PLTU) and gas-powered power plants (PLTMG), outage management, and EPC & Project Management. Management is also directly involved in the learning process as part of knowledge transfer and strengthening a culture of continuous learning.

 

In addition, the company also inaugurated the Business Synergy Building, which features an MRO portfolio showroom, training rooms, and other supporting facilities as a center for collaboration and capability development.

 

To support the clean energy ecosystem and celebrate Clean Energy Day, PLN IP Services also launched the EV Charging Initiative, providing commercial electric vehicle charging services in collaboration with PT PLN (Persero) UID Jakarta Raya and strategic partners. This initiative is part of the company's contribution to supporting the energy transition and the development of electric vehicle infrastructure in Indonesia.

 

PLN Indonesia Power's Director of Human Capital Management & Administration, Ridho Hutomo, emphasized that strengthening human resources is a key foundation for boosting the company's competitiveness.

 

"PLN IP Services must be able to become a reliable asset operator and asset manager, supported by professional and competent human resources. The launch of the PLN IP Services Academy and the EV Charging Initiative demonstrates that the company is not only focused on optimizing its existing business but also boldly creating new opportunities and strengthening its commercial capabilities," he said.

 

He also added that going forward, PLN IP Services needs to continue strengthening its capability branding to provide broader added value to the market.
