Delivering 25 MW to Bangka Belitung
PLN IP Services and PLN UIK Dwipantara Maintain Energy System Reliability
Jakarta, June 19, 2026 — PLN IP Services continues to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening the reliability of the national electricity system by supporting additional generating capacity and reliable operational management in Bangka Belitung. This commitment was reaffirmed through the signing of a generation contract renewal from PT PLN (Persero) Bangka Belitung Regional Main Unit (UIW Babel) to PLN Dwipantara Main Generation Unit (UIK). This step was taken to ensure the sustainability of more integrated generation management and maintain a reliable electricity supply for the community and industrial sector in Bangka Belitung.
As part of its efforts to strengthen the Bangka Belitung electricity system, PLN IP Services, in collaboration with PLN UIK Dwipantara, successfully supported the addition of 25 MW of generating capacity across the Bangka Belitung system, consisting of 15 MW in Air Anyir and 10 MW in Padang. This additional capacity is a strategic step to increase power reserves, maintain adequate electricity supply, and anticipate growing energy needs in the growing region.
This success demonstrates PLN IP Services' contribution to strengthening the reliability of the Bangka Belitung electricity system.
