PLN Indonesia Power and its subsidiary PLN Indonesia Power Services continue to demonstrate their commitment to contributing to the world of education in Indonesia through the IP Pintar Program (Internship, Assessment, and Certification), which has been running since 2018. This year, the innovative program successfully carried out the selection process for selected vocational high school students in 28 districts/cities of PLN Indonesia Power's Power Generation Work Units and will get the opportunity to receive direct coaching by Generation Experts at PLN Indonesia Power and PLN IP Services.
The IP Pintar Program aims to create a link and match between vocational schools and the industrial world, especially in the electricity sector. With this approach, vocational high school students not only gain direct work experience through internships, but also receive electrical engineering competency certification issued by the Directorate General of Electricity, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).
"The IP Pintar Program is a real manifestation of PLN IP Services' contribution in preparing superior and work-ready human resources, while also encouraging synergy between education and the industrial world in Indonesia," said Hari Cahyono, Director of PLN IP Services.
Since its inception, the program has provided great benefits to the world of education and its participants. One tangible form of this benefit is the opportunity for participants to obtain nationally recognized electrical engineering competency certification. This certification not only increases students' competitiveness in the workforce, but also becomes an important provision in supporting their career development in the future. In addition, several graduates of the IP Pintar Program have been recruited as employees at PLN IP Services, proof of the success and positive impact of this program.
The success of the IP Pintar Program is proof of PLN IP Services' commitment to supporting the development of education and workforce in Indonesia. This program is expected to continue to be an inspiration for efforts to strengthen the education and workforce sectors in Indonesia.
