Bringing Indonesian Capabilities to the Global Stage, PLN IP Services Presents Overseas Project in Vietnam

Jakarta, September 28, 2026 — Stepping beyond national borders, 17 personnel from PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) are ready to bring the company's reputation, capabilities, and expertise to bear in the Generator & Turbine Overhaul Project at the Duyen Hai Thermal Power Plant (Duyen Hai TPP), Vietnam. Through a collaboration with North Power Services Joint Stock Company (EVN NPS), this assignment is part of PLN IP Services' implementation of its Beyond kWh strategy through business development outside the PLN Group, while also opening up opportunities for its Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services to enter the international market.

As part of the project's preparation, PLN IP Services held a briefing for the 17 personnel who will be assigned to the Duyen Hai TPP, Vietnam. The event was attended by Hari Cahyono, President Director of PLN IP Services, along with the Board of Directors and Management, demonstrating the company's commitment to ensuring personnel readiness before undertaking responsibilities in an international work environment.

The briefing covered technical readiness, occupational health and safety (HSE) aspects, operational standards, and an understanding of the characteristics and work environment at the project site. All of these aspects are part of the preparation to ensure that each personnel is able to carry out their work professionally and effectively, meeting established quality and safety standards.

Hari Cahyono, President Director of PLN IP Services, stated that personnel readiness is a crucial foundation for project implementation, especially when working in an international environment.

"This briefing ensures that all personnel are fully prepared, both in technical aspects, occupational health and safety, as well as an understanding of operational standards and the work environment at the project site. We hope that all personnel can carry out their duties professionally, effectively, and in accordance with established quality standards," Hari said.

During the event, Hari also emphasized the importance of implementing PLN IP Services' 9 Life Saving Rules and 7 HSE Rules as guidelines for all work activities.

PLN IP Services' involvement in the Generator & Turbine Overhaul Project at Duyen Hai TPP is one manifestation of the implementation of the Beyond kWh strategy, namely business development through services, products, and markets outside the PLN Group's core business scope.

This project in Vietnam also forms part of PLN Group's business development beyond the Group, with PLN IP Services taking a role in meeting the needs of customers and partners in the international market. This step is part of the company's journey to leverage its portfolio of services and experience to reach new markets outside the PLN ecosystem.

In the Vietnam project, this capability was demonstrated through the involvement of 17 PLN IP Services personnel in generator and turbine overhaul work at the Duyen Hai TPP. Their experience in power plant maintenance provided them with the necessary skills to provide services that prioritize quality, safety, timeliness, and professionalism.

Collaboration with EVN NPS was a crucial part of this project's implementation. This partnership provided PLN IP Services with the opportunity to build a professional network in the Asian region, share experiences, and create new business and collaboration opportunities in power plant maintenance and other energy services.
