Ahead of the 2026 Mandalika MotoGP, PLN IP Services Ensures Power Plant Readiness in the Lombok Area, West Nusa Tenggara
Lombok, October 8, 2026 — Ahead of the 2026 Mandalika MotoGP (Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia) on October 9–11, 2026, at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) is deploying its Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and Rental Power Services capabilities to support the readiness of the electricity system in the Lombok area. This support includes six units with a total capacity of up to 119 MW, supported by operational readiness, maintenance, personnel, and the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3), as part of PLN IP Services' efforts to maintain energy reliability to support the smooth running of one of the largest international sporting events in Indonesia.
Through its O&M services, PLN IP Services manages the 75 MW Jeranjang Unit. This management ensures the unit's comprehensive operational and maintenance readiness, including equipment condition monitoring, personnel readiness, operational control, and the implementation of OHS standards in all work activities.
Meanwhile, through its Rental Power Services, PLN IP Services supports Lombok's electricity system through five units with a total capacity of up to 44 MW spread across several strategic locations. This includes Jeranjang (8 MW), Pringgabaya (14 MW), Ampenan (7 MW), and Sambelia (2 units with a total capacity of 15 MW).
With the support of these two services, PLN IP Services contributes six units with a total capacity of up to 119 MW to support generation readiness in the Lombok area. This capacity is part of PLN IP Services' support in maintaining the adequacy and reliability of the electricity system, particularly in the lead-up to and during the 2026 Mandalika MotoGP.
The President Director of PLN IP Services, Hari Cahyono, stated that support for the Mandalika MotoGP is part of PLN IP Services' role in providing reliable energy solutions through the company's service capabilities.
"The Mandalika MotoGP is an international event that elevates Indonesia's reputation on the world stage. PLN IP Services is playing a role in supporting the success of this event through the readiness of its O&M and Rental Power Services. We ensure that the units we manage and support are operationally ready, supported by the readiness of personnel, maintenance, operations, and the implementation of K3 (Occupational Health and Safety)," said Hari Cahyono.
According to Hari, generation readiness is determined not only by the condition of the unit, but also by the readiness of all aspects that support its continued operation. Therefore, PLN IP Services regularly monitors unit conditions, ensures personnel readiness, optimizes maintenance implementation, and strengthens coordination with relevant parties in the electricity ecosystem.

Through O&M services, PLN IP Services provides power plant management capabilities that encompass operations, maintenance, performance control, and the implementation of safety standards. These capabilities are the foundation for maintaining unit readiness so that they can operate optimally and support system needs.
Conversely, Rental Power Services provides flexible power plant support by providing units at locations requiring additional capacity. This service enables PLN IP Services to provide adaptive support according to the needs of the electricity system, including addressing increased electricity demand at specific times.
The readiness of these two services is also strengthened by coordination and synergy with various parties within the electricity ecosystem. Collaboration is crucial to ensuring integrated power generation support, ensuring system reliability throughout the 2026 Mandalika MotoGP.
