Kupang, September 19, 2024 – PT PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) is again committed to supporting the national electricity sector by implementing the Rental Procurement Agreement for HSD/B35 Fueled Engines with a capacity of 10 MW at the Golobilas Diesel Power Plant (PLTD), East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

The signing of this agreement was carried out on September 19, 2024, by the President Director of PLN IP Services, Hari Cahyono, and the General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) NTT Regional Main Unit, Ajrun Karim. This strategic step aims to strengthen the electricity supply in Labuan Bajo, NTT Region, which is a Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP) in Indonesia with increasing electricity needs in line with economic growth and infrastructure development in the region.

The procurement of this 10 MW capacity machine is one of PLN IP Services' efforts to ensure a reliable and stable electricity supply in Labuan Bajo, NTT. This HSD/B35 fueled machine not only provides a short-term solution for electricity needs, but also supports an environmentally friendly energy transition by using B35 biodiesel blended fuel.

"With this additional capacity, PLN IP Services strives to continue to maintain the reliability of electricity in Labuan Bajo, NTT, which is one of the areas with significant growth in electricity needs," said Hari Cahyono. "We are committed to supporting infrastructure development and improving the welfare of the people in NTT through the provision of stable and sustainable electricity."

This collaboration is also in line with the government's program to support the development of eastern Indonesia. The procurement of this machine rental is expected to increase electricity capacity in Labuan Bajo, NTT, as well as meet the needs of the community and the industrial and tourism sectors in the region.

General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) NTT Regional Main Unit, Ajrun Karim, stated that this procurement is the right step in facing the electricity challenges in Labuan Bajo, NTT, especially in facing the surge in electricity demand. "With the support of PLN IP Services, we are optimistic that the electricity supply in Labuan Bajo, NTT, will be increasingly stable and able to support economic growth in this area," he said.

With the signing of this agreement, PLN IP Services confirms its position as a strategic company in the management and development of electricity in Indonesia, especially in areas that require special attention in the provision of electrical energy.
