Manggarai, August 19, 2024 — PT PLN Indonesia Power Services Unit Ulumbu has conducted a Supplementary Food Provision (PMT) program as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, held at Rumah Gendang Wewo, Wewo Village, Manggarai Regency. This activity is part of Unit Ulumbu's efforts to support the government's program to improve healthcare services for mothers and children.
The event was organized in collaboration with healthcare workers from Ponggeok Health Center and Posyandu (integrated health post) volunteers from the Wewo Village government. By providing supplementary food rich in nutritional value, it is hoped that this initiative will contribute to improving the nutritional intake of mothers and children in the village.
"This CSR initiative reflects our concern for stakeholders, particularly the surrounding community near the Ulumbu Geothermal Power Plant, as part of maintaining social relations with the local residents. The PMT provision, in collaboration with Ponggeok Health Center, is a form of support for healthcare programs from Ulumbu Geothermal Power Plant. We hope that the CSR programs from Ulumbu can continue to bring benefits, especially to the nearby community," said Roiyatul Hosnan, Business Manager of Ulumbu Business Unit.
On a separate occasion, when met by the Unit Ulumbu team, Mr. Laurens Langgut, the Head of Wewo Village, also expressed his appreciation for the program organized by Ulumbu Geothermal Power Plant. "The Wewo Village government, along with the community, expresses gratitude and appreciation to PT PLN Indonesia Power Services Unit Ulumbu for providing supplementary food assistance to the children of Wewo Village," he said.
The program received positive feedback from local residents, who appreciated the attention and support from PLN Indonesia Power Services Unit Ulumbu. By collaborating with local healthcare providers and the posyandu, it is hoped that this program can continue and have a broader impact on improving community health.
