PLN Indonesia Power Services, through its Cogen EV 2.5 program, successfully introduced an innovation to convert fuel-powered motorcycles (BBM) into electric motorcycles at several schools around the PLN IP Services Workshop in Cirebon.

The workshop aimed to introduce electric motorcycle conversion technology to vocational high school (SMK) students and equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary for the conversion process. Teachers were also involved to ensure they could understand and teach these skills to their students. This initiative aligns with the government's program to support the transition to electric motorcycle usage in Indonesia.

Schools that have participated in this workshop include SMKN 1 Cirebon, SMKN 1 Cimahi, SMK Presiden Kota Cirebon, MA PPMI Assallam Sukoharjo in Central Java, and SMKN 2 Bau-Bau, which participated online.

Through this workshop, PLN Indonesia Power Services aims to make a tangible contribution to human resource development in preparation for the electric vehicle era, while also supporting the government’s efforts to promote more environmentally friendly energy solutions.
