PLN IP Services Utilizes TMAI Production Solar Modules in the Development of PLTS in Nusa Penida

 

Jakarta, 22 October 2026 — The development of solar energy is one of the strategic steps in encouraging the energy transition towards a more sustainable future. PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) carries out comprehensive Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services in the development of the Solar Power Plant (PLTS) in Nusa Penida, Bali, using solar modules produced by PT Trina Mas Agra Indonesia (TMAI). This collaboration is part of PLN IP Services' efforts to provide renewable energy solutions, optimize solar energy potential, and support national energy independence.

 

Through EPC services, PLN IP Services handles a series of PLTS development work which includes EPC technical engineering. In its implementation, solar modules produced by TMAI are used as part of the main component of the generator. This collaboration reflects the synergy between PLN IP Services' EPC service capabilities and TMAI's solar module technology support in supporting the development of clean energy infrastructure in Indonesia.

 

Main Director of PLN IP Services, Hari Cahyono, said that involvement in the development of PLTS in Nusa Penida is part of the commitment to provide electricity services that are adaptive to technological developments and the needs of the energy transition.

 

"PLN IP Services continues to develop service capabilities to support the use of new, renewable energy in Indonesia. Through the development of PLTS in Nusa Penida, we are trying to provide integrated solutions through EPC services, starting from technical engineering, procurement, to construction. Collaboration with TMAI through the use of domestically produced solar modules is part of our steps in encouraging the use of clean energy and supporting national energy independence," said Hari Cahyono.

 

The development of PLTS in Nusa Penida is part of efforts to encourage the use of solar energy as a renewable energy source. Through integrated project implementation, PLN IP Services contributes to the development of clean energy-based generating infrastructure while developing the company's service portfolio in the new renewable energy sector.

 

This initiative is also in line with the agenda for developing PLTS with a capacity of 100 GWp in Indonesia, which requires the collaboration of various stakeholders, including EPC service providers and solar energy technology manufacturers. The synergy between PLN IP Services and TMAI is a form of industrial collaboration in supporting the development of domestic renewable energy infrastructure.

 

This step is also in line with the spirit of the 81st National Electricity Day (HLN), "Energy for All, Independence for Indonesia." This spirit encourages PLN IP Services to continue to provide innovative and sustainable services, as well as provide added value for customers and society through developing electricity solutions.

This commitment was reaffirmed through the signing of a generation contract innovation from PT PLN (Persero) Bangka Belitung Regional Main Unit (UIW Babel) to PLN Dwipantara Main Generation Unit (UIK) which was held on Friday (19/6). This step was taken to ensure the sustainability of more integrated generation management and maintain the reliability of electricity supply for the community and industrial sector in Bangka Belitung.
