Realizing Energy for All, PLN IP Services Operates 10 MW Power Plant in Manokwari

 

Manokwari, October 25, 2026 — Reliability of electricity supply is a crucial factor in supporting community activities and economic growth, including in various parts of Indonesia, which have their own electricity needs and challenges. In line with the spirit of the 81st National Electricity Day (HLN), "Energy for All, Independence for Indonesia," PT PLN Indonesia Power Services (PLN IP Services) continues to contribute to providing energy solutions through its Rental Power Services. This commitment is realized through the operation of a 10 MW power plant in Manokwari, which will begin commercial operations (Commercial Operation Date/COD) on October 25, 2026, as part of the PLN Group's collaboration to support reliable electricity supply in West Papua.

 

The operation of this power plant is part of the PLN Group's collaboration to meet power needs in Manokwari. Through Rental Power Services, PLN IP Services provides generation solutions that can be tailored to system needs, especially in areas requiring generating capacity to maintain a continuous electricity supply.

 

Rental Power Services is one of PLN IP Services' capabilities in supporting electricity system reliability by providing and operating power plants according to customer needs. With a flexible and adaptive approach, this service supports the electricity needs of households, public facilities, and various economic activities, including in the archipelago and Papua.

 

The President Director of PLN IP Services, Hari Cahyono, stated that Rental Power Services represents the company's contribution to expanding electricity supply support across Indonesia.

Collaboration of PLN IP Services & PT PLN (Persero) UIW Papua and West Papua to Realize Reliable Electricity in Bintuni

PLN IP Services and PT PLN (Persero) Papua and West Papua Regional Main Unit signed a Diesel Generator Rental Procurement Work contract to strengthen the reliability of electricity supply in Bintuni, West Papua.   The signing ceremony was attended by the General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) Papua and West Papua Regional Main Unit, Rizky Mochamad, and the President Director of PLN IP Services, Hari Cahyono. This collaboration aims to ensure a reliable electricity supply to support economic growth and community welfare in the region.
